In Taiwan, according to a survey made by the Children ’s Bureau of the Ministry of the Interior, at least 300,000 children in Taiwan live with scarcity resources and belong to low-income households. Among them, more than 100,000 children live in high-risk conditions. Parents are unable to provide their children the opportunity to attend any extracurricular classes/activities, art classes, even not able to parent them after school. This may cause many children to give up study, being out there wandering, and hanging around inappropriate places for children , causing social potential issues. In order to prevent disadvantaged Children to getting stuck at the starting point, the Chinese Christian Relief Association has launched the "After-school Program for Children from Disadvantaged Families" since 2004, providing "Children from Disadvantaged Families" to participate in free tutoring, education for personal character, and art courses. Through this program and family care, Children education and health necessities can be taken care of adequately, letting parents know that their Children are in great hands while they are at work, contributing to the economy and life quality.

Affected by the New Coronary Pneumonia Outbreak in 2020, the world's economy has been in great recession, and the operation and activities of public welfare organizations in Taiwan has also been severely affected. But even under having limited resources, the Chinese Christian Relief Association held an activity through the 1919 After-school Program for Children from Disadvantaged Families along with an electronic device brand ambassador so warm-hearted presents could be delivered to Children from this program on Mother's Day eve at Hualien township, so children may not feel alone through the current epidemic. As the brand ambassador of this event, Vivian Liu, she had the opportunity to have dinner with children, and minutes after dinner, she also shared the story of the prodigal son in Luke chapter 15th. All the children were listening carefully to what Vivian Liu had prepared for them.
